Enjoy our awarded with TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2019 tour and depart from our terminal for one day trip from Athens to explore the UNESCO-listed Archaeological Site of Delphi with an expert guide and learn how the city was considered the ‘Center of the World’ in ancient Greece and today one of the most famous archaeological sites of Greece.  Along the way, you will see the plain of Beotia, an agricultural center  and you will also pass by the city of Theva, the birthplace of King Oedipus. Immerse yourself in the myths and monuments of classical Greece on this full-day tour of Delphi from Athens.

After meeting your guide in Athens, hear tales about the ancient Greeks and their lives in Delphi while traveling to the town by air-conditioned coach. You will reach Delphi  towards Mt. Parnassos, making a short rest stop outside the town of Levadia.

First stop is a tour of the Delphi archaeological site – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and easily one of the most important digs in Europe.  Avoid and skip the lines of the archaeological site and walk around the evocative ruins with your guide, see famous monuments like the monument of the Argive Kings, the treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, the monument of Platea and  the Temple of Apollo famous for its oracle.

Second stop is Delphi museum, with it’s spectacular exhibits include the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, the Naxian Sphinx, the Statue of Antinoos the metopes of the Athenian treasury, the famous bronze Charioteer, originally created to commemorate a victory during the 476 B.C. Pythian Games, and many other artifacts. Be sure to check out the bronze Charioteer of Delphi and the Sphinx of Naxos.

After lunch break, visit Athena Pronaia Sanctuary, the most photographed spot in Delphi. Return to Athens passing by the picturesque mountain village of Arachova, built on the south slopes of Parnassus, well known for its attractive hand-woven carpets, rugs and quilts, as well as for its wine and cheese (short photo stop).

Booking Conditions
Rates are valid from 01 April 2022 to 31 March 2023.

PICK UP POINTS: On arrival in Athens we ask that you call us on +30 210 9233166 to reconfirm your booking and advice us of your pick up point.

GUIDES: On the various tours lecturein English, unless there is a previous arrangement to lecture and to another language.

SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted but all tours make frequent stops.

FOOD AND DRINK: In the interest of the safety and comfort of all passengers, we ask you not to bring hot food or drinks onto the coach.

CLOTHING: Entrance to churches and monasteries visited in our tours is not allowed to gentlemen and ladies with no proper outfit.

CHILDREN Age 4-12 years: Children under seventeen must be accompanied by an adult.
Infant 1-3 years free. Attractions Tickets for EU citizens from 4-24 years are Free of charge. Passport must be carried at all times.

CANCELLATION:FULL AND HALF DAY COACH TOURS: A refund will be made up to 24 hours prior to tour departure.
MULTI DAY TOURS:Once book, cancellations apply. All tours operate based on a minimum number of passengers; Key Tours reserves the right to alter departures as required. In this instance we will endeavour to offer you the same tour on the next available date or a tour of equivalent value.

TRAIN TOURS: Once booked are non-changeable and non-refundable.

LOST TICKETS: Please contact Key Tours. We will do all we can to help.

ATTRACTION TICKETS: Booked on-line and can not be refunded once the booking has been confirmed. Transport to and from attractions is not included.

AMENDMENTS: No problem subject to availability up to 1 hour prior to departure.

LOST PROPERTY: Whilst every effortis made to return lost property, Key Tours can not be held responsible for property left on the coach. Property found must be collected from our office at 26 Ath. Diakou Str., Athens.

PERSONAL INSURANCE: Is not included. Please discuss this with your Travel Agent or Key Tours.

ACCIDENT OR LOSS: We have no liability for loss, damage, delay,inconvenience, or direct orconsequential loss, however caused, unless due to our employees’ negligence, in which case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury) to a maximum of the refund of the tour cost. Baggage is at owner’s risk throughout the tours.

TIMINGS: Your guide will give you clear instructions as to when you should return to the coach after each visit, please be punctual. Our tours operate within EU Driving Hours Regulations; Therefore we are unable to wait for late returning passengers.

WHISPER AUDIO PERSONAL HEAD-SETS: The company may not provide headsets for groups less of 10 people. Upon receipt, the client may be held liable for losses or damage and will be required to cover the whispers’ cost (85 euros per audio device).

In the event of “Places of Interest” being closed, or road conditions en route prevent the tour as advertised being operated, every endeavour will be made to substitute an alternative, but the company reserves the right to cancel or alter arrangements.
